Multiple Grammy award winner Dwight Yoakam has accumulated 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Pioneering his new brand of honky-tonk music in the 1980s, Yoakam began his career in rock and punk rock clubs around Los Angeles, playing with acts like The Blasters and Los Lobos, which helped him diversify beyond typical country music fans. Now one of the all-time greats, Yoakam brings his unique brand of country music to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.
