Returning to the LPAC after a sold out performance in 2016, the classically-trained string instrumentalists Kevin Marcus and Wilner Baptiste (Wil B) continue to take the world by storm with their distinctive and versatile style, closing the gap between classical and popular music. Playing a variety of compositions and unique interpretations of standard versions, Black Violin fuses R&B, soul, rock, hip-hop and classical styles with results that are both groundbreaking and astonishing. High school classmates, the two reunited after college and have been touring the globe ever since, collaborating with the likes of P. Diddy, 50 Cent, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin and The Eagles. Black Violin continues to change the landscape of contemporary music – with their own distinctively original and elegant style.
