CST - The Cherry Orchard
On a frosty May morning while the cherry trees are in bloom, impoverished Russian aristocrat Madame Ranevsky returns to her childhood home with her daughters in a final attempt to save their famous estate, as well as their old way of life. Their beloved cherry orchard must be sold to clear debts, but the matriarch seems incapable of recognizing or acting on her desperate situation. One of the great masterworks of Western theater, The Cherry Orchard is a thought-provoking tragicomedy about love, loss, and the end of an era.
