Roberto Tapia
With his trademark cowboy hat, Roberto Tapia personifies the charm and sophistication of the banda and corrido music traditions. Born in San Diego and raised in Sinaloa, Mexico, Tapia displayed, at a young age, an extraordinary affinity for all things music, entering the Difocur School of Music in Culiacan at age nine to study the clarinet. Tapia made his professional vocal debut at 17, and soon perfected his flair for connecting with audiences by interspersing stories between his famous songs. Tapia's upbeat mariachi-infused music will have you on your feet and dancing from the very first song.
